Be Us, Be Butterfly

Butterfly is the largest Chinese lesbian forum, boasting 3,000 active users and 100,000 registered members. Recently, Butterfly embarked on a rebranding journey, transforming its outdated design into a fresh, forward-looking app that prioritizes user experience. This project was informed by extensive user research, competitor analysis, and a thorough mapping of the user journey.

Embracing the concept of “Be Us, Be Butterfly,” the platform aims to serve as a welcoming haven for the lesbian community. We introduced features that encourage user interaction and engagement, allowing them to be active within the app and evolve from "caterpillars" to "butterflies." This growth journey unlocks additional privileges and enhances their overall experience.

Since the rebranding and relaunch, the number of active users has significantly increased, further enhancing the impact on the community.
